Objective :- Provisioning Wireless Guest User Account
Configuration :- Select the WLAN tab from the main menu of Cisco 5508 WLC
Select “create new” from the drop down menu and click on Go :
It will generate a Form, which needs the following information to be filled:
- Profile name – WLAN profile name to be given.
- SSID – SSID name to be given.
On the next page, it will ask whether the WLAN has to be enabled and it has to be broadcasted or not. Also which interface has to be used to send the user traffic from WLC to the network.

In order to apply the security on the WLAN, click on Security Tab under the Guest SSID and choose the appropriate security method. Choose “None” if the Guest SSID is to be kept open authentication.
Click on Layer 3 security Tab in order to implement the Layer 3 based security.
Choose the “AAA servers “tab and choose the Radius server to be used for this WLAN, in order to authenticate the users. In case the NAC guest server is to be used for the Guest user authentication then choose that from the drop down menu :
Click on QOS Tab under the Guest WLAN and select the required QOS policy to be used :
Go to the Advanced Tab under the GuestWLAN SSID and select the required options. If DHCP server is to be defined for this WLAN then select the DHCP option and enter the DHCP IP address.
Configuring NAC to authenticate the users connected with Guest WLAN.
Login to the NAC Guest server administrator using the administrator credentials:
On the left hand side pane click on the Devices and select the Radius Clients:
Click on Add Radius Client: Fill the entire form.
After filling the form, click on the Add radius client. The Radius client device (For e.g. WLC) should be there in the Radius clients list.
